We treat metal as this hard, unyielding thing, but it’s remarkably organic. The way it patinates tells a story, which is why I embrace every imperfection. I will sometimes deliberately leave visible scratches on a piece to honor the reality of the process and show that it was crafted by human hands. It proves that even a material we label as ‘cold’ has its own living pulse. In the end, it’s about craft, material, and story, never about perfection or unnecessary polish.
